Letter from the Prime Minister of Canada

In a very warm greeting for The Listening Center's 20th anniversary celebration in 1998, the Prime Minister of Canada wrote:

I am delighted to extend my greetings to everyone attending The Listening Centre's 20th anniversary celebration.

As you mark this important milestone, you can take pride in the significant contribution your organization has made to the lives of countless individuals. The success of your efforts has assisted many in triumphing over their auditory processing difficulties and others in enriching their skills as musicians, singers and actors.

It is thanks, in great part, to the work of organizations such as your own that individuals with learning disabilities are gaining the skills they need to succeed and seeing the barriers to their fullest possible participation in society reduced.

I am certain that the achievements of the past will inspire you to face the challenges of the future with determination and enthusiasm, and I wish you many more years of success.
