Paul Madaule,
Director, The Listening Centre Toronto

Paul came from France to Canada in 1978 to help establish the Tomatis Method in North America. A director of The Listening Centre since its inception, Paul also helped create a dozen of other Centres throughout the US and Mexico. Paul graduated in Psychology from the University of Paris-Sorbonne in 1972. He spent several of his formative years working with Dr. Tomatis in his Paris Centre. He is the author of When Listening Comes Alive (1993) in addition to numerous articles on subjects related to the educational and therapeutic value of music, voice and listening training with children with developmental and learning problems. He has drawn from his 30 years of clinical experience to develop a portable audio-device called The Listening Fitness Trainer (LiFT®). He and his team developed Listening Fitness with the LiFT to make listening training available to wider audiences.

Morana’s background includes an E.C.E. Diploma from University of Zagreb, Croatia and a B.A. in Psychology and Cultural, Critical and Historical Studies and Fine Arts at York University in Toronto. She first joined the team in 1995 as a listening therapist, bringing together her enthusiasm, creativity and experience supporting children and families in variety of settings. Presently, Morana acts as a co-director and a clinical consultant at the Centre and leads a team of listening therapists. As part of the team she contributed to the development of the Listening Fitness with the LiFT® and currently teaches Listening Fitness Courses and guides Listening Fitness Instructors during their period of supervision towards full Certification.

Darlah joined the team in the fall of 1998 as a listening therapist. As a Listening Therapist and a Coordinator, Darlah wears many hats at the Centre. From 1999 to 2002, she was integral to outreach programs organized by the Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia, and in Stratford, Whitby, and Ottawa, Ontario. When you contact the Centre with your inquiry, Darlah is most likely the first person to help you through your questions. Darlah holds a B.A. in Linguistics from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has done post-degree studies in Psychology at the University of Waterloo.
