The whole family would like to thank the centre for a more balanced life...

Written by mother of a 3 year old boy with CP

We were concerned about speech delays when our son, diagnosed with CP and reaching almost 3 years of age, could only say 2 words (No, Papa), while his twin-sister already had 100 words or so in her vocabulary.  After 2 subsequent sessions 3 months apart at the listening centre, our son now spontaneously uses full sentences (of up to 8-9 words) of relevance in 2 languages. As parents, we could not ask for more.  He can now truly benefit from all other therapies that are aimed to help him live an independent life.  His behaviour has also changed in consequence; expressing oneself and being understood adds to happiness. He’s been adapting very well to specialized daycare and it’s a real pleasure to see him interact with other children, adults, as well as with his twin-sister. The whole family would like to thank the centre for a more balanced life: our son now sleeps throughout the night and tells us what he wants.
